Surprising Insight: Sceptre 20 Compared - Thin, Fast, Wide... tested for 2024

We were impressed by the Sceptre 20’s sleek, machine-black design, which blends into any workspace with its ultra-thin profile. The 1600x900 resolution at 75Hz delivers smooth visuals, though we noticed slight pixelation in detailed tasks. The 2x HDMI and VGA inputs offered versatility, but the built-in speakers were merely adequate—opting for external audio proved preferable. Our tests revealed a wide 170° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angle, making collaboration easier. While not the sharpest or most vibrant display, its consistency across angles was commendable. The monitor’s compact size suits small desks, yet we found the adjustability limited. Overall, the Sceptre 20 hits a sweet spot for its price, balancing portability, connectivity, and general performance—making it a viable option for budget-conscious users seeking a refined workspace upgrade.
